I’ve heard from doctors that it’s just arthritis, you’re getting older, don’t worry about it. But “don’t worry about it” isn’t good enough if your body is getting in the way of your happiness.

I had a healthy client in his forties come in incredibly frustrated about the tendonitis in his hip and how he could barely move it. The gym had always been one of his places to blow off steam, but he was told lunges were out of the question because he couldn’t step his right leg back. Yoga therapy calmed his nervous system enough in 40 minutes that he could extend his leg back before our first session was complete.

After discussing your goals and health history, we’ll start with gentle joint warm-ups before moving on to more vigorous movements and longer-held postures.
